International exchange rates
The value of a currency will fluctuate against the value of other currencies owing to political and economic situations.
Whenever you buy imported goods or change money for travelling abroad, the value can be assessed using latest exchange rates. The latest sterling exchange rates can be found on the Internet at sites such as x-rates.com.
HM Revenue & Customs publish exchange rates every year that you can use when calculating foreign currencies on your tax forms.
